New research: Short term relief effect of supplementing NMN on kidney disease

Multiple mouse models of chronic kidney disease and acute kidney injury support the discovery of de novo NAD+synthesis reduction.
The researchers also evaluated the effects of NMN supplements in mouse models of chronic disease and acute kidney injury. The mouse model of acute kidney injury showed beneficial effects after supplementing with natural rubber.
However, NMN supplementation cannot successfully prevent the progression of chronic kidney disease.
